Such a memorable of having amazing experiences in joining Student’s Research and Development Team (SR&DT) SIDI. Being a part of the research team was beyond my expectation. I was so grateful when i heard my name was a part of SR&DT Maratua, because no ordinary college students in ITS could experience this golden chance. As the research about Maratua goes by in a year, i learned lots of new things that i barely got from my formal college class. It was truly amzing to get a chance to visit Maratua, an exqusite island which instantly making me speechless to describe how beautiful the island is. And also we got to know the complexity livelihood of Maratua’s local people, so that we can give some useful research idea for them and the government. Last but not least, my biggest gratitude for professors from SIDI Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember and professors from Wismar University, whom guided our team to reach it’s final research and giving us chance to present it at local and international seminars. In my opinion, join the SR&DT program is a perfect place for ITS college students to gain hardskill and softskill experience. The benefits from joining the research is not be kept to ourselfs, but also for Indonesia in the future, especially Maratua Island.
