Poteran island is separated by sea from the Madura island, but the distance is not too far because it only takes about 10 minutes to cross the sea to the Poteran island from Madura. The Port that is used to go to the Poteran island is not too big but quite busy of activities because the mobility of people to travel or to send the goods. With timber ships that can carry some of the car, the SR & DT Batch 2 crossed to the Poteran island. That day the SR & DT Batch 2 saw the infrastructure for Poteran Island and continued to see the best way for finding fresh water in this island.

To get clean water, wells of Poteran people should have the depth between 10-50 meters. 50 meters depth, it is impossible to use ordinary water pump and thus it requires a more powerful water pump, but it is fairly expensive because the price range up to Rp. 100 million. That is a challenge that must be solved to make water access for the people of Poteran Island become easier and can be useful such as for agriculture.
