SIDI Exhibition at IFI Surabaya
Although after 1 week since the Science Party 2015 was held, the visitors still excited to come. Since August 28, 2015 until September 4, 2015, Science Party 2015 was visited by many schools in East Java, where students who visited are very active and vibrant.
The visit starts from the Climate Change Exhibition at the AJBS Exhibition Hall to SIDI Exhibition at Building of IFI Surabaya. In the AJBS Exhibition Hall, they gained insight into climate change and research. Then proceed to SIDI Exhibition where they gained insight into the research and development of the island that was delivered by the SR&DT (Student's Research and Development Team).
At SIDI Exhibition, students are given an understanding about how to develop a sustainable island, an explanation of the research activities carried out, the simulation with a model of windmill and Transplantation Bio Electric on coral reefs, and showed a video documentation of research activity at Poteran Island.
SIDI is a new thing for the students, so they are very eager to follow the explanation given by SR&DT. Questions arises of their curiosity, about where the location of the island, how is the conditions, what is the use of moringa products, how to make a windmill and solar panels, also their possibility to participate in SIDI. So it can be said that through this event, SIDI can provide insights into the small islands of Indonesia that must be developed to Indonesia younger generations.
