• Pengumuman seleksi tahap I: 13 Februari 2015 
• Presentasi ide penelitian: 14 Februari 2015
• Pengumuman seleksi tahap II: 14 Februari 2015
• Pembekalan: 23-28 Februari 2015
• Kunjungan ke Pulau: Juni 2015

Persyaratan:

• Mahasiswa S1 semester 5 keatas

Topik Penelitian:

I. Pengembangan Pulau Maratua: "Attractive and Self-sustainable Integrated Homestay Design"

1. Draft design of the Homestay Cluster
   1. Identification of a suitable location for the Pilot Homestay Cluster
   2. Architectural and interior design of the Prototype Homestay – attractive for the intended target group
   3. Functional and architectural design of the Central Lounge & Service Centre
   4. Arrangement of the Homestay Cluster – meeting requirements of landscape architecture and homestay logistics
2. Draft engineering of
   1. Energy-efficient system of the power consumers in the Homestay Cluster – comprising lighting (LED), AC & refrigeration, warm water generation, laundry, TV & Internet etc.
   2. Autonomous electrical power generation system for the Homestay Cluster, based on renewable energy; analysing opportunities for waste-to-energy
   3. Autonomous systems for clean water supply and for waste & sewage disposal of the Homestay Cluster
   4. Draft logistic system including island shuttle & supplies, inner-island transport, diving & water sports platform
3. Draft design of the local tourism attraction
   1. Classify Maratua diving spot; based on usage zonation of the marine conservation, and scuba diving standard depth range classification
   2. Identification of a local history, languange, art, culture and other opportunities (such as wildlife and nature, local event and another local leisure)
   3. Arrangement of the identified local attraction as the integrated tourism activities in Maratua
4. Draft design of the conservation planning
   1. Concept for the sustainable conservation, including : marine, forest, wildlife and culture conservation
   2. Improve spatial conservation zoning to  target resources of biodiversity conservation, recreation and other land uses effectively
5. Draft business planning
   1. Concept for the self-sustainable management of the Homestay Cluster
   2. Draft concept for training of operational and management staff
   3. Draft start-up plan for the business development including financing proposal for the start-up phase

II. Pengembangan Pulau Poteran: "Technological and Organizational Preparation of Moringa and Seaweed Agro-Industry"

1. Draft agricultural concept
   1. Identification of a suitable Moringa / Seaweed growing site, including Pesticide test
   2. Optimum height and plantation density of Moringa / Seaweed plants
   3. Optimum growing / harvesting period
   4. Concept for clean (pesticide-free) watering, fertilizing, and pest protection
2. Draft engineering of
   1. Moringa / Seaweed powder production unit (washing, drying, powdering, packaging)
   2. Integrated energy supply (renewable energy)
   3. Integrated water supply and water cleaning
   4. Logistic concept for the prototype production site
3. Draft business planning
   1. Review of quality standards for the market entry (German, European, others) and review of the process for Bio-Certification of Moringa / Seaweed products
   2. Check conditions for a contract farming concept
   3. Draft concept for training of agricultural and processing staff
   4. Draft start-up plan for business development
